LONDON -- Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen says United States striker Clint Dempsey has undergone a medical test and is set to return to the club on loan. Dempsey scored 50 goals in 184 league matches for Fulham from 2007-12 but left for Tottenham before moving to the Seattle Sounders in August. The Coyotes have recorded wins this week against Edmonton and Anaheim, marking the second time the club has posted consecutive victories since a season-high three-game winning streak from Nov. 2-7. After earning a 5-1 road victory over the Oilers on Tuesday, Arizona used a fluky goal to take Saturdays 2-1 shootout win over the visiting Ducks. Shane Doan broke his stick, but was the only skater to score in a four-round shootout. The blade of Doans stick snapped off as he fired a shot at Frederik Andersen, who got a piece of the splintered wood with his shoulder but whiffed on the puck as it trickled past his left pad and inside the goal post. After Devan Dubnyk stoned Ryan Getzlaf at the other end to seal the win, Doan was all smiles.
